Buying a Painting

Most of the paintings in this site are for sale. I used the highest quality oils and materials. In my paintings, I use heavy inpasto oils with multi colors that are then carved to reveals these colors.

To qualified collectors, I offer time payments and discounts if you buy more than one painting or if you are a present customer. The prices of my artwork are based on a sensible hourly wage, multiply this amount by the number of hours I take to make the artwork, I add the cost of materials and overhead (studio rent etc.), and I arrive at a price. The prices are also influenced to similar pieces sold at a given price, artistic significance, and size.

Sale, Refund and Shipping Policies

1. Privacy and security: All information provided to Oscar Martinez will not be traded, sold or lent to anyone and will be held in the strictest of confidence.

2. Payment Options: I accept MasterCard®, Visa®, and money orders made out to: Oscar Martinez

2. All purchases will take between 2 to 4 weeks for delivery.

3. Illinois residents will be charged an 8.75% sales tax for paintings. There is no sales tax for purchases of these items by residents of other states.

4. Free shipping will be provided for the sale of paintings costing $6,000 and above.

6. Gift shipping: If you would like a painting to be shipped to an address that is different from the billing address, please indicate this on the "order form" page if you are paying by money order (click on "contact me" on the bar at the top of this page) or by e-mailing me at: art@oscarmartinezart.com if you are paying by credit card.

7. Guarantee: Paintings may be returned within a period of 10 days after they are received and a refund will be given if the items are in re-salable condition.
